Utah Natural History Museum (a week late)

Last Saturday John took us on an adventure! We drove up to the Trax station at 2100 S.We took it to the Courthouse station and walked a couple of blocks to the Library station.
The weather was beautiful!

We walked from the Stadium station to the Natural History Museum.

There was dinosaur stuff to be seen, which was Becks favorite.

There was a whole, incredible frog exhibit, which was Ross' favorite. I was wrestling with Beck, so this is the only picture I got. There was also an awesome bug exhibit, which Cai liked, but alas, no pictures.

There were several things of Tony's on display, which was nice to see.

Afterward it was pizza at The Pie!! Delishessness!!

Cai said he couldn't smile because his blood sugar was too low! Mr. Drama!

Before I get any comments... all the boys got haircuts later in the day!

My Fondest Dream Has Come True!! (Kinda)

O. K. - A little backround; being the Cali girl that I am I had never encountered a Pink Cookie until my freshman year at BYU. I had never before known such joy and happiness! With the Hart's Gas Station just across the street from my dorm in Helaman Halls, these delectable treats were almost at my fingertips 24/7!! My girlfriends and I sometimes found that we were craving these at such late hours that we no longer had the energy to walk the short distance. At these times we were not above calling some boys in the next building who were always happy to fetch them if we would only talk with them in the lobby for awhile. (I believe this is called a symbiotic relationship!)
My love has continued through the years, but as a Mom I find that if I treat myself to one there are 5 others who want one too! (Kind of pricey!) So my quest began. I have tried every sugar cookie and frosting recipie under the sun in an attempt to recreate that wonderful pinkness. Each time I have met with disappointment, that is until last night! Some angel had mentioned to me that they had tried a recipe for sugar cookies in bar form. I was at first just loving the idea of Valentine, Easter, and Christmas cookies without all the work of flouring, rolling, and cutting, it has turned out to be so much more!! My search is over!! These might even taste a little better than that infamous Pink Cookie as there are no preserving extras in there.
